Terms of Service
The service
RecoverBill helps businesses that bill through Stripe recover failed subscription payments, by retrying charges and sending recovery emails to their customers on their behalf. You must own or be authorized to manage the Stripe account you connect.
Trial and billing
New accounts get a 14-day free trial, no card required. After the trial, a paid subscription is required for recovery to keep running; if it lapses, recovery pauses and pending recovery plans are preserved. Subscriptions are billed monthly through our merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy) and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period.
Your responsibilities
- Only connect Stripe accounts you are authorized to manage.
- Ensure you may lawfully contact your customers by email about their billing (recovery emails are transactional messages sent on your behalf).
- Don't use the service for fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive charging.
What we don't promise
Recovery outcomes depend on factors outside our control (card issuers, customer behavior, decline reasons). We do not guarantee any specific recovery rate or amount. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time (cancel your plan and/or revoke Stripe access). We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email to your account address. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
